About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Source and procure various commodities across multiple programs
  • Initiate requests for quotation, analyze supplier proposals, perform price analysis, and negotiate
  • Ensure compliance with public law requirements, including FAR and DFARS, and company/business policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with import/export regulations
  • Work independently
  • Solve problems and find creative solutions
  • Review, reconcile, and approve supplier invoices
  • Interface and collaborate with Programs and organizations within and outside Global Supply Chain
  • Plan, schedule, arrange, and execute activities to accomplish objectives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of professional experience, OR Master’s degree with 3 years of professional experience, OR PhD with 1 year of professional experience
  • An additional 4+ years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance
  • Experience in MS Office suite
  • Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, basic formulas, and VLOOKUPs
  • Experience with SAP/CostPoint ERP System preferred
  • Experience within the Aerospace or Aviation Industry preferred
  • Experience with FAR/DFAR preferred
  • Experience buying tooling or mechanical commodities preferred
  • U.S. Citizenship required for positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions
