About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Teach Legal Assistant and Paralegal Studies courses according to the lesson plan and syllabus as directed by the program supervisor
  • Prepare and grade written and practical examinations
  • Attend faculty meetings, in-service meetings, graduation ceremonies, and other events as required by the College
  • Attend other required College events
  • Dress professionally in accordance with the faculty dress code
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of three years of non-overlapping experience in the legal field
  • Paralegal Studies degree or a degree in a related field, or completion of a Paralegal Studies training program plus a degree
  • Nevada State Law experience
  • Undergraduate degree
  • Proficient in Google Workspace (G Suite)
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and general Microsoft Office applications
  • Minimum typing speed of 45 words per minute
  • Comfortable teaching in both in-person and online/virtual learning environments
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply relevant current education methodologies and techniques
  • Background check required for selected candidates
  • 3–4 references requested during the interview process
