About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain hardware systems, associated operating systems, and connectivity capabilities
  • Monitor, analyze, and plan upgrades to ensure adequate capacity and availability
  • Provide technical leadership and support for computing systems and systems integration
  • Conduct and present performance and capacity analyses
  • Diagnose and coordinate solutions for issues across server and distributed-system environments, including vendors and manufacturers
  • Respond to customer needs and manage issues through closure
  • Support application teams with project and support activities
  • Communicate with customers and team members and develop effective working relationships
  • Plan system-to-network connectivity and interfacing
  • Review technology projects, analyze business requirements, recommend system changes, write technical specifications, and implement changes
  • Develop project plans, scopes, effort projections, schedules, and final plans with project managers
  • Establish and enforce standards, policies, and procedures for local area networks
  • Participate in technology planning
  • Integrate vendor, manufacturer, and subject-matter technical knowledge
  • Mentor immediate-team and application-team members
  • Contribute to the IS Knowledge Repository
  • Provide on-call support

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years of experience in core discipline
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field (preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in core discipline in the healthcare industry (preferred)
  • Ability to provide required on-call support
  • Compliance with organizational policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulatory and accreditation standards
  • Successful completion of a background check, including criminal history, if offered the position
