About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work in the Operations team on real-world problems between members, the product, external suppliers and operational systems
- Engage directly with members to understand questions and investigate issues
- Learn in detail how the service works and identify recurring problems
- Redesign processes and build automations to improve operational work
- Use AI to remove repetitive work
- Query data to understand operational activity
- Improve internal tools
- Work with Product and Engineering on fundamental fixes
- Take undefined operational problems, understand them properly and build robust solutions
- Help build systems that enable the company to scale
Requirements
What you’ll need- Roughly 1–3 years of experience in a demanding environment such as a startup, operations, consulting, product, analytics or similar
- Learn unusually quickly and enjoy tackling problems not seen before
- Technically curious and actively experiment with AI and new tools
- Evidence of building things, such as automations, side projects, spreadsheets, scripts, internal tools or processes
- Comfortable getting into detail and tracing problems to understand what is happening
- Able to impose structure on messy and ambiguous situations
- Naturally empathetic and interested in understanding customer needs
- Communicate clearly and directly
- Comfortable working directly with customers and frontline problems
- Take ownership rather than waiting to be told exactly what to do
