About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Guarantee and optimize the good working order of machines in compliance with quality, reliability, cost, deadline, safety and environmental procedures
  • Prepare tooling for quick changeovers and consult production planning
  • Prepare and perform production changeovers, including assembly and dismounting of tooling, peripheral devices and conveyors
  • Supply or organize raw materials for machines
  • Mount tooling and perform level 1 maintenance
  • Set machines required for manufacturing
  • Ensure workstation layout conformity and cleanliness
  • Perform and approve start-up checks and minimize start-up rejections
  • Check machines, peripheral devices and tooling for proper operation
  • Record malfunctions and technical tuning operations in the process log
  • Monitor process parameters, production conditions and cycle times
  • Report issues to the manager and make simple corrections for malfunctions
  • Participate in Lean improvement actions and workshop process and equipment improvements
  • Update position-related documents and computer databases
  • At Levels 2 and 3, analyze and diagnose processes, implement corrective actions and improvement plans, and analyze micro-breakdowns
  • At Levels 2 and 3, provide technical support, tutoring and training to operators, leaders, setters and APU teams
  • At Level 3, participate in solving technical and quality problems, updating products/processes, and developing and optimizing processes
