About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Integrate, install, and configure secure local area networks, IT equipment, and applications
- Provide on-site technical support and remote assistance to existing customers
- Analyze and resolve network communication and security issues across various technologies
- Contact vendors to resolve complex issues
- Automate and document selected network tasks
- Maintain and administer systems and applications
- Diagnose and address network-related operational incidents
- Write deployment procedures and various technical documents
- Log incidents and service requests in the ticketing system
- Keep stakeholders informed of the status of their requests by clearly communicating the diagnosis and solution
- Update information related to completed interventions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Excellent proficiency with the Fortinet environment: Fortinet Firewall, Switch, AP, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer
- Excellent knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol
- Good understanding of SSL and IPSec VPNs
- Strong experience managing firewall policies
- Good knowledge of LAN/WAN networks and network equipment, including switches, routers, and firewalls
- Experience with Wi-Fi technologies
- Strong knowledge of server infrastructures, SAN, and NAS storage
- Experience working with Cisco, Fortinet, and Brocade equipment
- Knowledge of Windows Active Directory and Microsoft Azure environments
- Ability to document procedures and update architecture diagrams
- Fortinet and Azure certifications are an asset
- Availability to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation, one week per month
