About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead a regional team of HR Specialists and Recruiters supporting store leadership
  • Design and deliver scalable strategic solutions for planning, talent assessment, change management, and team building
  • Provide strategic business partnership, thought partnership, and coaching across the organization
  • Assess team, manager, and organizational development needs and implement solutions
  • Provide data analysis and reporting based on business needs
  • Drive talent management strategies, growth, and individual development plans
  • Manage the performance management cycle and employee engagement assessments
  • Manage employee relations issues and recommend resolutions
  • Monitor, audit, and investigate employee-related matters and regulations
  • Advise managers and supervisors on HR practices, policies, and employment law
  • Coach colleagues regarding performance, misconduct, and policy violations
  • Partner with Legal and Operations to develop and revise policies and procedures
  • Identify and lead training aligned with business priorities
  • Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity regarding HR matters
  • Partner with leaders on workforce and succession planning
  • Develop and deliver reporting and actionable insights

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5-10 years experience in an HR Business Partner or equivalent role
  • Working knowledge of US local, state, and federal labor/EEO laws
  • Ability to work in a busy environment with constant interactions with people of varied ages, personalities, cultures, and educational backgrounds
  • Ability to travel to stores 25–35% of schedule; some overnight travel required
  • Solid judgment and experience assessing risk relative to the business
  • Consulting, coaching, and facilitation skills
  • Effective communication and critical thinking skills
  • Empathy and experience driving an “others first” orientation among employees
  • Experience using data to identify insights that drive action
  • Demonstrated experience influencing and strategically solving problems
  • Strong personal ethic
  • BA/BS degree preferred
  • Bi-lingual Spanish preferred
  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred
