About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead a regional team of HR Specialists and Recruiters supporting store leadership
- Design and deliver scalable strategic solutions for planning, talent assessment, change management, and team building
- Provide strategic business partnership, thought partnership, and coaching across the organization
- Assess team, manager, and organizational development needs and implement solutions
- Provide data analysis and reporting based on business needs
- Drive talent management strategies, growth, and individual development plans
- Manage the regional performance management cycle and employee engagement assessments
- Manage employee relations issues and recommend resolutions
- Monitor, audit, and investigate employee-related matters and regulations, including sexual harassment, discrimination, ADA, FMLA, Wage and Hour, EEOC, and DOL matters
- Advise managers and supervisors on practices, policies, and employment law
- Coach colleagues at all organizational levels regarding performance, misconduct, and policy violations
- Partner with Legal and Operations to develop and revise policies, practices, and procedures
- Identify and lead training aligned with business priorities
- Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity regarding HR matters and information
- Partner with leaders on workforce and succession plans
- Develop and deliver reporting and actionable insights across the organization
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5-10 years experience in an HR Business Partner or equivalent role
- Working knowledge of US local, state, and federal labor/EEO laws
- Ability to work in a busy environment with constant interactions with people of varied ages, personalities, cultures, and educational backgrounds
- Ability to travel to stores 25–35% of schedule, including some overnight travel
- Solid judgment and experience assessing risk relative to the business
- Consulting, coaching, and facilitation skills
- Effective communication and critical thinking skills
- Empathy and experience driving an “others first” orientation among employees
- Experience using data to identify insights that drive action
- Demonstrated experience influencing and strategically solving problems
- Strong personal ethic and sound decision-making
- BA/BS degree preferred
- Bilingual Spanish preferred
- PHR or SPHR certification preferred
