About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Greet patients and customers entering the store
- Identify patient needs and provide promotional products and services
- Assist customers in choosing eyewear suited to their budget and eye-care needs
- Troubleshoot prescription-related problems and resolve customer complaints
- Diffuse unsatisfied patients and provide solutions
- Attain established sales goals while complying with company and local policies and procedures
- Adhere to quality-control standards, including OSHA and other safety requirements
- Perform basic housekeeping duties to maintain brand standards
- Measure, fit, and adapt lenses and frames onsite and virtually according to prescriptions or specifications
- Sign off on jobs after confirming power ranges and lens measurements
- Examine written prescriptions and verify lenses are ground to specifications
- Execute simple repairs, assemble lenses into frames, and edge stock lenses
- Ensure customer orders are delivered accurately and on time
- Maintain lab-area brand standards and notify management of equipment malfunctions, incomplete orders, or incorrect lenses
- Track delivery-time commitments to ensure 100% compliance
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1+ year of proven experience delivering outstanding customer service while exceeding sales goals in a fast-paced retail environment
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and be flexible with changing business needs in a team environment
- Effective communication skills with a diverse group of people
- Valid ABO/NCLE and/or State license in the applicable State
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Passion for outstanding customer/patient care
- Strong interest in learning, embracing, and fostering innovation
- Ability to promote high work standards and empower others with an entrepreneurial mentality
- Schedule flexibility; work hours determined by business needs
- Knowledge of MS Word and Google Docs
