About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Administer and support Cloud environments, working with compute, storage, networking, security, identity, backup, and monitoring resources
- Analyze and resolve low- and medium-complexity incidents, problems, and technical requests
- Perform troubleshooting by analyzing logs, metrics, events, configurations, and connectivity
- Execute and monitor changes in Cloud environments in accordance with established processes and security best practices
- Configure and administer Cloud networks, including VPC/VNet, subnets, route tables, NAT, VPN, peering, load balancers, Security Groups/NSGs, and DNS
- Participate in projects involving the implementation, enhancement, and migration of environments to the Cloud
- Support activities involving backup, restore, snapshots, replication, high availability, and environment continuity
- Administer Linux and Windows servers in Cloud environments
- Create and maintain scripts, automations, procedures, runbooks, and technical documentation
- Support automation and Infrastructure as Code initiatives
- Apply best practices for Cloud security, governance, observability, and cost optimization
- Participate in technical meetings with clients, vendors, and internal teams
- Support Junior-level professionals by reviewing activities and sharing knowledge
Requirements
What you’ll need- Technical or higher education in Information Technology, Computer Networking, or a related field
- Hands-on experience administering environments on at least one of the leading Cloud platforms: AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
- Experience with AWS will be considered particularly relevant for this position
- Knowledge of infrastructure and networking, including TCP/IP, addressing and subnetting, routes and routing, NAT, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls, load balancers, and connectivity troubleshooting
- Knowledge of Linux and Windows Server administration, virtual machines, block, file, and object storage, NFS, SMB, and iSCSI concepts
- Knowledge of Cloud security, including IAM, users, groups, roles and policies, the principle of least privilege, MFA, encryption, secrets management, and basic security and compliance controls
- Knowledge of backup, restore, snapshots, replication, and Disaster Recovery concepts
- Experience analyzing logs and troubleshooting infrastructure
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform
- Knowledge of Git and code version control
- Knowledge of scripting and automation using Shell, PowerShell, and/or Python
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, GitLab, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar tools is desirable, as is experience with Terraform in production environments and Python for automation
- Availability to work a 40-hour weekly schedule, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
