About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Define and evolve the reference architecture for AI and automation, including components, integrations, orchestration layers, observability, and security;
Work with the Architecture CoE on AI-powered applications, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, joint architectural decisions, and integration with the systems ecosystem;
Lead solution design with business units and engineering teams, from conception through technical validation;
Establish agent standards, including tools, planning, guardrails, human-in-the-loop processes, and autonomy criteria;
Define strategies for agent memory, context management, and state persistence;
Design and optimize RAG architectures, covering ingestion, chunking, embeddings, vector databases, hybrid search, reranking, and quality evaluation;
Design multi-agent architectures, including orchestration patterns, agent-to-agent communication, MCP and A2A protocols, and failure handling;
Evaluate and select models based on performance, cost, latency, privacy, and the balance between proprietary and open-source models;
Maintain a catalog of reusable patterns, blueprints, and components;
Support AI governance through traceability, continuous evaluation, compliance with Brazil's LGPD, and risk management;
Monitor market trends and lead proof-of-concept initiatives;
Create and maintain downstream workflows, SDD, and a skills repository;
Share knowledge and advance the organization's AI maturity.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree or equivalent completed undergraduate education;
Solid experience in software or solution architecture, with a focus on AI, data, or cloud;
Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG, and agent frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, CrewAI, or watsonx Orchestrate;
Knowledge of vector databases, APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures;
Experience with at least one cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP);
Understanding of security, privacy, and governance as applied to AI;
Ability to collaborate with architecture and engineering teams across the organization and build technical consensus;
Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for executive audiences;
Preferred: experience with LLM evaluation (evals), agent observability, and LLMOps;
Preferred: knowledge of FinOps applied to AI models and infrastructure;
Preferred: experience in the financial sector or regulated environments;
Preferred: cloud or AI certifications.
