About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead studies from concept to feasibility, overseeing planning through report delivery
- Prepare proposals and tenders to win, complete, and convert work into execution opportunities
- Develop and deliver studies and tenders within agreed budgets, schedules, and client expectations
- Develop and maintain study teams, identify resource requirements, and coordinate departments and external consultants
- Develop and maintain professional client relationships
- Support business and project development with targeted technical input and advice
- Develop business cases combining commercial concepts and technical knowledge
- Implement and continuously use standard documents and processes
- Align study estimates and execution plans with commercial and contracting models
- Facilitate handover of studies and development work to subsequent phases such as engineering and projects
- Build client relationships, foster communication, and update Salesforce CRM with opportunities and client feedback
- Bridge technical teams, business development, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality, on-time deliverables
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Engineering (Process, Chemical, Metallurgy, Mechanical, Electrical or Civil)
- Professional Engineering license, Arizona Certification; other engineering certifications are an asset
- 20+ years of relevant experience in project study development, engineering, project study delivery, and/or site operations/support in mining and mineral processing
- 8 or more years’ continuous experience in a Study Leader role
- High level of written and verbal communication skills
- Previous experience with large mining clients and making presentations
- Must be eligible to work in the USA without sponsorship
