About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead facilities operations, maintenance, workplace services, and building management activities
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, accessibility, and regulatory requirements
- Manage the organization’s leased real estate portfolio, including leases, acquisitions, renewals, and dispositions
- Manage facilities-related capital assets
- Develop and execute space planning, strategic facility forecasting, and workplace strategies
- Oversee and project manage facility construction, renovation, and capital improvement projects
- Manage budgets, forecast expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Manage office operations staff providing reception, visitor management, employee services, meeting support, and event support
- Lead vendor selection, contract negotiations, and service-level performance management
- Develop business continuity and facility risk mitigation plans
- Supervise workplace services staff and foster a high-performing team culture
- Provide an exceptional workplace experience for employees and visitors at NuScale locations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in facility management, engineering, architecture, business, or another related field
- Professional certification (CFM or equivalent) required
- Project management certification (PMP) desired
- Ten or more years of workplace operations experience
- Experience including leased facility management, workplace operations, and strategic planning
- At least five years of experience managing a multi-location team
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects at multiple facilities simultaneously
- Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810
- Ability to understand and communicate clearly using a phone, personal interaction, and computers
- Ability to learn new job functions and comprehend new concepts quickly and apply them accurately in a rapidly evolving environment
- Ability to travel internationally, nationally, and locally using common forms of transportation
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, use hands to operate office equipment, and reach with hands and arms
