About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support ITSM, HRSD, IRM/GRC, SecOps, ITOM, and App Engine ServiceNow applications
- Maintain ServiceNow platform stability and usability across production and non-production environments
- Perform application maintenance, performance monitoring, error identification, and remediation
- Manage internal and external stakeholders
- Manage ServiceNow instance security, including users, groups, administration, and access control lists
- Initiate health scans and track remediation findings
- Develop automation scripts for ServiceNow deployment and operations
- Draft Design/Build/Manage solutions defining scope, timelines, assumptions, and dependencies
- Lead technical aspects of ServiceNow implementations
- Provide technical guidance during workshops and assist with creating and refining stories
- Configure the ServiceNow platform during sprints when required while sharing best practices
- Design and communicate technical architecture blueprints aligned with business outcomes
- Translate business information and technical requirements into architectural blueprints
- Engage Enterprise Architects to position ServiceNow as a digital transformation platform standard
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements, present and validate solutions, and test interpretations of client needs
- Demonstrate workflows across at least two key ServiceNow areas
- Drive process optimization, efficiency, and productivity through automation
- Mentor less experienced colleagues
- Contribute leading practices, standards, and ServiceNow thought leadership
- Identify and develop strategic technical opportunities supporting business growth
- Review and approve technical architecture designs for best-practice, upgrade, security, and governance compliance
- Lead Technical Review Boards and oversee release management, update set reviews, deployment readiness, and production approvals
- Evaluate Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, ACLs, Integrations, and Flow Designer implementations for security, performance, and maintainability
- Collaborate with developers and engineers in an Agile environment to modernize customer applications using low-code solutions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institute (preferably in Mathematics, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering), or Master’s with 6 years of prior relevant experience
- Minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience, or Master’s with 6 years of prior relevant experience in technical domain
- Minimum of 3+ years’ experience as a senior architect, technical lead, or enterprise architecture
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required
- Deep expertise in ServiceNow platform architecture, including security, CMDB, integrations, domain separation, and enterprise-scale solution design
- Implementation and integration experience with ServiceNow ITSM, HRSD, IRM/GRC, SecOps, ITOM, and App Engine
- Experience with ServiceNow and applying ITIL standards
- ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA)
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
- ServiceNow Certified Application Specialist (CAS) App Engine
- Minimum two of: CIS-IRM/GRC, CIS-HRSD, CIS-ITSM, CIS-SecOps
- Ability to ask customers the right questions and understand requirements from a user perspective
- Agile methodologies and Agile project management experience
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and minimal supervision
- Experience working with software development team members
