About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, implement, and document software tools, custom scripts, and automated workflows to streamline legal department processes
- Integrate and expand the core legal tech stack, including CounselLink, Anaqua, and DocuSign CLM, with enterprise systems, APIs, custom tools, and automated data pipelines
- Architect end-to-end technical solutions for legal intake triage, contract automation, IP operations, and spend analytics
- Work directly with the Legal Operations manager, attorneys, paralegals, and partners from IT and Finance to translate legal workflows into scalable software solutions
- Maintain user documentation, system architectures, and infrastructure to ensure stability and security across internal tools
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical subject area (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of professional software development or automation engineering experience
- Proven track record to design, implement, and document complete solutions end-to-end
- Strong programming foundation in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript
- Background involving RESTful APIs and enterprise integrations
- Strong curiosity and active willingness to learn how legal teams operate and how corporate law works
- Prior experience building integrations or custom solutions tailored to internal workflow
- Experience working with legal tech platforms such as DocuSign, Anaqua, or CounselLink
- Hands-on experience with generative AI, LLM APIs, prompt engineering, or low-code/no-code internal tool builders such as Retool, Streamlit, or Power Automate
- Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced, multi-functional environment while translating complex technical concepts for non-technical team members
- Passion for continuous learning, innovation, and pioneering the modern AI-driven enterprise
