About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Take ownership of customer issues involving Ethernet or InfiniBand network adapters, DPUs, and switches from inception to resolution
Work with NVIDIA Enterprise customers and internal users to improve availability, reliability, and the overall experience of NVIDIA Networking products
Solve complex, cross-functional issues using independent analysis and communication to improve customer experience
Collaborate with engineering to document, recreate, and solve issues
Spend approximately 50% of time helping customers with complex problems and 50% doing R&D-related work
Provide comprehensive solutions for complex installations, maintenance, and operations involving leading-edge networking products
Join a Solution Engineering team focused on NVIDIA Networking, DGX Platforms, Container Orchestrators, Deep Learning containers, and enterprise system software

Requirements

What you’ll need

BSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
12+ years of system development and troubleshooting, ideally with some customer facing
Experience developing/debugging with C in kernel and/or application space and/or embedded software
Strong understanding of Linux (tools, utilities, kernel, networking stack) and virtualization
Intellectual curiosity, positive attitude, flexibility, analytical ability, self-motivation, and team orientation
Professional-level communication skills and interpersonal skills with a passion to solve problems
Familiarity with InfiniBand networks, RDMA protocol, RoCE, DPUs, DPDK, HPC applications (MPI/UCX), and OVS
Hands-on experience troubleshooting and analyzing datacenter networking protocols/technologies, including LACP, OSPF, BGP, EVPN, and VXLAN
Experience with manageability interfaces and protocols
Ability to deeply analyze IP, Layer 2 switching, and Layer 3 routing networking protocols
Contributions to networking-related open-source projects
