About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Define, plan, implement, and execute performance verification strategies for sophisticated CPU designs
Analyze CPU unit design specifications, implementation, and performance impact at the lowest level
Interact with architects and design engineers to define detailed scope of microarchitectural features
Draft detailed performance test plans
Define and create scalable micros to validate features
Build infrastructure and tooling for efficient performance correlation debugging
Lead and provide detailed technical guidance to junior engineers
Work on multiple tasks and projects
Perform testbench, scoreboard, and stimulus development
Debug regressions and close coverage gaps
Support design, implementation, and system-level validation and debugging

Requirements

What you’ll need

BS/MS or equivalent experience
12+ years of experience
Background with CPU micro architecture
Experience with workload analysis
Proficient in scripting languages such as Perl and Python
Working knowledge of C/C++
Good communication skills and ability and desire to work as a team player
Experience leading performance validation of major blocks of CPU pipeline
Experience with ARM A64 and X86 architectures
