About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Architect and build the software platform behind NVIDIA's compute infrastructure
Provide design teams worldwide with reliable, efficient, self-service access at scale
Build data pipelines, analytics and applications to measure infrastructure usage and performance
Use data to drive capacity planning, efficiency and organizational decisions
Develop AI agents to diagnose failed jobs, analyze logs and handle routine engineering requests
Work closely with physical design engineers in multiple geographies, debugging job, storage and license issues
Convert recurring engineering problems into automated checks, self-service tools and permanent fixes
Own software end to end, including architecture, data storage, UI, testing, CI/CD, deployment and maintenance
Conduct code reviews and maintain reproducible builds
Collaborate across time zones with Design Automation teams at NVIDIA sites worldwide to roll out infrastructure software
Mentor newer team members

Requirements

What you’ll need

B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience
Hands-on experience with AI agents, including agentic workflows, LLM APIs, tool calling or MCP, or AI coding assistants
2–6 years of experience building and running production software, ideally infrastructure, backend services or developer tools
Strong Python skills and solid software engineering fundamentals, including design, testing, code review and debugging
Strong Linux skills, including shell scripting and debugging problems across many users and hosts
Self-motivated and proactive, able to see problems through to resolution
Clear communication with engineers across sites and time zones, especially under deadline pressure
HPC and DevOps experience is advantageous, including IBM LSF or Slurm, NFS or parallel file systems, performance tuning at scale, CI/CD, containers, Ansible, Prometheus and Grafana
Experience with Bazel, Perforce and Git is advantageous
Strong grasp of data structures and algorithms, especially graph theory, plus SQL, data modeling and dashboards
Experience with C++, Tcl or Perl, and exposure to EDA tools or chip design flows is advantageous
