About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Contribute to a new Automotive System and Platform architecture organization at NXP
- Build system and software expertise within NXP and engage with OEM advanced engineering teams
- Support subsystem development leveraging processing, networking, power management, security, and safety expertise
- Analyze and experiment with next-generation architecture trends
- Contribute to CoreRide Platform Architecture System and Software definition and execution
- Use architecture systems and software engineering tools to evaluate trade-offs involving network topologies, functional safety, wake-up times, communication latencies, security, and power distribution and management
- Prototype on different archetypes to analyze partitioning and key performance indicators for power and performance
- Collaborate with NXP engineering and Automotive Architecture teams on architecture exploration, analysis, and execution
- Define System and Software Architecture solutions for CoreRide platforms across central and zonal archetypes
- Deliver System and Software Architecture specifications and support execution teams through feedback loops and fast convergence
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience of System and Software architecture definition and development
- Knowledge and experience in vehicle functions and Software Platforms from drivers to middleware, including understanding trade-offs and key performance metrics of an automotive platform
- Strong Software Architecture skills to define frameworks and components with understanding of interdependencies within the global system ECU or vehicle
- 8 years+ experience in the automotive market
- History of engagement with automotive Tier1 and/or OEM
- Experience in hardware, software and system solutions that enable car architecture evolution
- Excellent written and verbal communication and influencing skills
