About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Clean package and field-erected cooling tower equipment
- Operate power washers safely, including appropriate spray head selection and usage
- Follow supervisor instructions to complete projects safely, efficiently, and on time
- Maintain OBR standards for safety, efficiency, and quality
- Perform pre- and post-treatment activities
- Measure free chlorine levels accurately in cooling tower circulating water
- Complete Task Hazard Analysis cards and other safety documentation
- Read and apply information from Material Safety Data Sheets
- Practice proper chemical handling techniques
- Perform additional tasks assigned by the Superintendent, Field Managers, Area Managers, or Foreman
- Travel frequently in a fast-paced, on-the-road work environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Negative 10 panel urinalysis and breath alcohol test
- Valid Driver's License
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship
- Satisfactory background check
- Score of 2 or less in a DISA background screen
- OSHA 10 Certification preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, climb, and stoop as needed
- Ability to perform keyboarding/typing and read from screens or paper
- Ability to work outdoors or in plant environments with exposure to weather, heat, noise, and nearby hazardous chemicals
- Ability to manage high workloads and multitask in a fast-paced setting
- Ability to perform work at heights while maintaining 100% tie-off when above 4 feet
