About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead high-impact analytics and data pipeline initiatives
- Design, deploy, and maintain automated reporting frameworks
- Build self-updating dashboards and data delivery pipelines using modern BI tools and orchestrators
- Audit manual reporting processes and replace spreadsheets and ad-hoc queries with automated production-grade scripts and workflows
- Interface with business leaders, cross-functional teams, and government partners
- Conduct targeted analytics and translate business needs into scalable automated solutions
- Partner with Data Engineering on analytical data models, automated transformations, and scheduled ELT/ETL jobs
- Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Operations to create actionable self-service business insights
- Develop automated data quality frameworks, monitoring systems, and scalable metrics trees
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4+ years of professional experience in data analytics, BI engineering, or data automation
- Proven track record of automating operational workflows
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a strong quantitative/technical field preferred
- Advanced proficiency in SQL
- Experience with modern transformation-layer tools such as dbt
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Experience with API integration, data manipulation, and task automation
- Experience with Pandas, Airflow, Prefect, or custom cron jobs
- Deep hands-on experience with automated, self-service BI dashboards and semantic layers
- Experience with Looker, Tableau, or Power BI
- Ability to communicate complex architectures and data models to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to take automation projects from scoping and architecture through execution and stakeholder adoption
- Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment
- Ability to work in an in-person and/or hybrid capacity from the Arlington, VA office
- U.S. work authorization as specified in the application requirements
