About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the strategy, planning, and execution of Obvio’s field marketing calendar, aligning event strategy with GTM revenue targets and geographical expansion goals
  • Evaluate, prioritize, and secure Obvio’s presence at government expos, public safety summits, traffic safety conferences, and industry trade shows
  • Conceptualize and launch proprietary events, including executive dinners, regional roundtables, live hardware demos, and community launch activations
  • Own end-to-end event production, including site selection, booth design, vendor management, hardware demo setups, staffing, travel logistics, and budget allocation
  • Partner with Sales and Government Relations on target account strategy, pre-event outreach, on-site meeting schedules, and post-event lead routing
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to create event-specific toolkits, localized marketing collateral, and interactive hardware demonstrations
  • Establish event KPIs, track lead attribution, and deliver post-event performance reporting to GTM leadership
  • Build repeatable, scalable field playbooks to support growth across new markets
  • Identify and secure speaking opportunities, panels, and media engagements for company executives
  • Plan and coordinate truck-based roadshows, including logistics, routing, venue partnerships, and on-site execution
  • Organize recurring internal events that bring company leaders together across teams and functions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3-6+ years of experience in field marketing, event operations, or experiential marketing, ideally within B2B SaaS, AI, smart cities, physical hardware, or public sector technology
  • Proven track record of independently planning and executing multi-format events, from multi-thousand-person trade shows to intimate C-level executive dinners
  • High agency, an ownership mindset, and a bias toward action in fast-paced, high-growth startup environments
  • Exceptional project management skills with meticulous attention to detail across multiple concurrent workstreams
  • Strong cross-functional alignment skills, with experience preparing executive spokespeople and driving post-event sales follow-through
  • Willingness to travel regularly, up to 30-40%, to direct on-site setup and execution
  • Direct experience working with municipal governments, public safety agencies, law enforcement, or transportation departments
  • Hands-on experience coordinating physical hardware or complex technical product demos in field/outdoor settings
  • Proficiency with modern GTM and event platforms
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
