About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support, administer and oversee network support, design and analysis of new and existing architectures
- Configure routing and switching, and administer Cisco FTD/Checkpoint firewalls
- Manage Cisco ACI and F5 LTM
- Support cloud-based AWS solutions
- Develop systems specifications and technical implementation plans
- Coordinate complex installation projects with clients and vendors
- Work with the team on network and security architecture design for on-premise and cloud environments
- Support the network infrastructure lifecycle, including deployment, troubleshooting and ongoing maintenance
- Implement network changes to maintain security, performance and compliance with NIST-CSF and COBIT governance frameworks
- Partner with vendors, carriers and engineering teams to resolve issues and support large-scale projects
- Maintain documentation and provide on-call support for reliability and business continuity
Requirements
What you’ll need- Excellent presentation skills including planning, material preparation and public speaking
- Demonstrated capability to tailor communications to the technical level of the audience
- Clear, concise and precise written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, project management and mentoring skills
- Strong ability to use solution-oriented approach towards problem resolution
- Ability to work independently and be a team player
- Strong foundation in network protocols BGP, OSPF and ISIS, and concepts WAN/LAN/IP/VPN/IPAM/DNS
- Advanced experience with Cisco IOS, NX-OS, XR and FTD platforms
- Strong network troubleshooting skills, including packet capture, analysis and review
- Experience supporting AWS and Azure cloud connectivity within a hybrid infrastructure environment
- Experience supporting F5 LTM within a hybrid infrastructure environment
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of experience in IT systems installation, operations, administration and maintenance of virtualized servers/cloud systems
