About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Author and review safety management plans and safety cases, technical reports, and engineering documentation
- Undertake detailed hazard and risk analyses
- Derive and demonstrate compliance with safety requirements
- Provide domain support to WOME integration activities
- Support OME certification and qualification strategies and programmes
- Provide specialist consultancy services to clients
- Deliver critical support to defence programmes focused on operation, through-life support, and assurance of complex systems
Requirements
What you’ll need- Educated to degree level (or equivalent experience), preferably in a related technical discipline
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience in Defence
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience of Defence nuclear safety management
- Knowledge of the legislative and regulatory requirements applied within the Defence nuclear domain and to WOME
- Excellent communication skills
- Customer focused and able to develop strong relationships and understand problems
- Experience of working in teams and developing others
- Sole UK national required
- Must be able to satisfy clearance criteria for UK National Security Vetting
- Pre-employment screening required
- Desirable: Chartered Engineer Status or working towards chartership
- Desirable: Consultancy experience
- Desirable: SC and/or DV security clearance
