About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Establish clean CRM architecture as the central system of record for clients, alumni accounts, prospects, venture capital networks, accelerators, and referral partners
  • Lead cleanup of approximately 300 former-client records, evaluating entity activity, categorizing accounts, and segmenting historical contacts
  • Enforce compliance boundaries and conflict-clearance checkpoints before attorney re-engagement
  • Record business development activity, track relationship statuses, and maintain CRM processes for pipeline reporting
  • Conduct commercial, industry, and background research on prospective clients before attorney pitch meetings
  • Monitor corporate legal RFPs, fractional/outside general counsel requests, and aligned business opportunities
  • Establish business development procedures covering stage tracking, referral-source mapping, pitch checklists, and campaign workflows
  • Maintain and customize capabilities decks, pitch materials, and service descriptions for corporate audiences
  • Produce external newsletters, including content organization, drafting/editing, distribution, and contact segmentation
  • Support attorney LinkedIn presences through formatting, scheduling, content repurposing, and calendar management
  • Collaborate on website content maintenance and keep service information, attorney profiles, and digital collateral accurate
  • Plan and build segmented email and re-engagement campaigns for pre-cleared contact lists
  • Prepare draft copy and sequence schedules and track execution for attorney review and approval
  • Deploy outreach and external communications strictly through named attorneys
  • Work directly with the Principal, Chief of Staff, and Senior Associates as the primary marketing and business development operator
  • Receive guidance and support from the Operations Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Mid-level B2B marketing or business development operations experience within professional services (e.g., legal services, accounting, consulting, advisory, or high-touch B2B services)
  • Practical experience in CRM administration, database cleanup, contact segmentation, pipeline tracking, and workflow management
  • Hands-on experience updating capabilities decks, building newsletters, managing digital content, and using modern design and drafting platforms, including AI-assisted tools such as Claude or Claude Design
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strict adherence to review protocols, conflicts clearance, and organizational workflows
  • Outstanding written English and concise business writing abilities
  • Ability to translate subject-matter expert input into polished, professional copy
  • Highly responsive, discreet, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating behind the scenes to empower senior legal stakeholders
  • Ability to work a split shift with some overlap with the client's time zone
  • Availability for in-person training during the first 3.5 weeks
  • Inclusive collaboration with individuals from a variety of backgrounds
