About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Join Oceus Networks' R&D software development product team
Work on 5G NR and 4G LTE products and solutions
Work with the R&D Project Manager to plan projects and report project status
Work with the R&D team to design, implement, and function-test products
Support product releases, features, requirements, and test tools
Interact with managers, project managers, and others to meet project schedules
Communicate with technical and non-technical personnel
Keep skillsets up to date
Report to the R&D Director
Travel as needed, estimated up to 10%

Requirements

What you’ll need

U.S. citizenship
Current U.S. government security clearance or eligibility to obtain a clearance
B.S. degree required
2-4 years of experience in software development
Experience with relational databases, including designing data tables, creating and executing SQL programmatically, and coding for long-term database performance
Excellent knowledge of web server application development utilizing HTML
Experience with one or more server-side implementation languages: PHP, Node.js, or Go
Excellent knowledge of C/C++ and Java for target Linux platforms
Excellent network programming with client/server experience
Good knowledge of VMs, containers, and virtual environments
Good knowledge of client/server architectures
Good understanding of IP networks
Effective time management
Ability to take initiative
Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality work
Ability to problem solve and work with minimum supervision
Ability to learn quickly and work in a team environment
Effective written and verbal English communication skills
Ability to work on-site at The Colony office
Availability to travel up to 10%
Preferred: software development experience for telecommunications
Preferred: knowledge of wireless technologies and related protocols (NR, LTE, GSM)
Preferred: understanding of peer-to-peer encryption
Preferred: understanding of Information Assurance requirements on products
