Lead implementation of UI/UX efforts for Ocient’s hyperscale data warehouse platform
Architect scalable, maintainable front-end systems using TypeScript, React, and Python
Utilize AI assistance and coding agents such as Claude across architecture, design, development, and workflow management
Create and enforce coding guidelines, front-end architecture patterns, and UI/UX best practices
Use Figma to implement streamlined UI/UX experiences for complex data platform capabilities
Interface with Product Management, Engineering, and Design on requirements, architecture, and product direction
Build front-end integrations with REST APIs and SQL databases
Lead code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical design sessions
Mentor UI/UX Engineer I and II contributors

Requirements

What you’ll need

4+ years of industry experience writing code to build scalable, maintainable user interfaces in a professional software engineering environment
1+ year of industry experience working with design tools such as Figma to implement streamlined UI/UX experiences
Strong proficiency in TypeScript, React, and Python
Demonstrable experience utilizing AI tools and agents to produce quality designs and software using structured prompts and context files
Strong technical leadership and communication skills
Experience using Git for version control and leading collaborative software development workflows
Experience interacting with REST APIs and SQL databases from a front-end engineering perspective
Portfolio of previous work including code samples demonstrating front-end engineering quality and design sensibility
Candidates must be based in India
Candidates must have camera on for the duration of video interviews
BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (exceptional candidate qualification)
Experience with high-performance, distributed systems and databases (exceptional candidate qualification)
Experience with full-stack development, particularly in Java or C++ (exceptional candidate qualification)
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (exceptional candidate qualification)
Experience using and building code components for an enterprise-scale design system (exceptional candidate qualification)
Experience using Playwright or another UI testing framework (exceptional candidate qualification)
