About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Act as a technical expert and trusted advisor during the post-sales process
Embed with customer teams to understand workflows and demonstrate how Ocrolus technology improves mortgage origination efficiency
Review and consult on technical solutions, APIs, microservices, data pipelines, and integrations
Build and support technical solutions and integrations for mortgage clients using Ocrolus, Encompass, and other POS/LOS mortgage platforms
Run proof-of-concepts and proof-of-value engagements demonstrating ROI
Troubleshoot technical issues in live environments
Partner with Account Management and Product teams to deliver value and influence the roadmap
Travel occasionally, approximately 30–50%, to customer sites and industry events
Work with Account Management, implementation, and onboarding teams
Report to the Lead Forward-Deployed Engineer and VP of Account Management

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years of experience in software engineering, solutions engineering, or technical consulting
3+ years of experience/background in mortgage or lending workflows
Strong understanding and experience with Encompass
Strong consultative sales/account management approach
Excellent communication and presentation skills, including experience engaging senior mortgage executives
Backend experience with Python, APIs, Encompass Developer Connect, and SQL
Frontend experience with React/TypeScript and JavaScript with ICE Secure Scripting Framework (SSF)
Familiarity with mortgage LOS/POS platforms, including Encompass, Blend, SimpleNexus, and Floify
Experience with Git
Cloud basics in AWS/Azure
Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
Nice to have: experience with SaaS integrations or loan origination systems
Nice to have: additional mortgage LOS/POS experience
Nice to have: exposure to AI/ML or generative AI
