About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a strategic business advisor to contracting office staff and program offices throughout the acquisition life cycle
- Independently review acquisition strategies and related documentation, providing expert advice and analysis
- Support development and preparation of pre-award specifications, SOWs, SOOs, PWSs for performance-based acquisitions, and other requirements documents
- Assist with development of Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE)
- Support market research and market surveys to identify contract and purchasing vehicles, solutions, and potential sources
- Prepare and post announcements in electronic procurement portals such as SAM
- Prepare written reports and documents
- Assist in preparing draft IFBs, RFQs, RFPs, and Combined Synopsis/Solicitations
- Recommend and prepare terms and conditions as appropriate
- Assist with source selection and contract award, including preparing and coordinating D&Fs and J&As
- Distribute and post contract file documents
- Support post-contract award and administration
Requirements
What you’ll need- Six (6) years of full-spectrum federal contract experience
- A 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree, including or supplemented by at least 24 semester hours in accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management
- Must be FAC-C or DAWIA eligible or possess an equivalent professional Contracting certification such as a CFCM or CPCM
- Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and federal contracting procedures
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, and UFMS or similar contracting writing systems
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to project timelines
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with subject matter experts, acquisition professionals, and stakeholders
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance, including credit, fingerprint, and law enforcement agency checks
- Must be able to work in a hybrid work environment
