About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and lead a structured continuous improvement strategy across ODL’s global manufacturing sites
  • Report to the EVP, Operations and partner with Operations, Engineering, Product Management, and Supply Chain leadership
  • Standardize and train associates on structured problem solving, value stream mapping, daily management, and strategy deployment
  • Lead continuous improvement and act as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt facilitator
  • Build and execute a multi-year CI strategy and roadmap aligned with business priorities
  • Champion Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and structured problem-solving methodologies
  • Standardize manufacturing processes, documentation, and governance through the Business Operating System
  • Drive value stream mapping to identify waste, improve flow, reduce lead time, and optimize end-to-end operations
  • Facilitate Kaizen events and Lean transformation initiatives
  • Establish and manage CI governance, including project prioritization, resourcing, and financial-impact validation with Finance
  • Partner with site leaders to improve customer PPM, scrap, warranty quality, unit production, inventory, OTIF, and UPLH
  • Coach and develop leaders and embed continuous improvement into daily management routines
  • Identify, train, and develop CI Champions across the organization

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations, supply chain or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing/operations environments
  • At least 5 years leading continuous improvement, operational excellence, or transformation initiatives
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification
  • Proven track record of driving measurable improvements in cost, quality, delivery, and efficiency
  • Strong working knowledge of Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving methodologies
  • Hands-on experience with value stream mapping, standard work, 8D, and Kaizen
  • Experience leveraging manufacturing, tooling, automation, and engineering systems, including ERP and PLM
  • Ability to influence across functions, communicate clearly, coach at all levels, and sustain improvements
  • Experience in multi-site or global manufacturing networks
  • Experience implementing and leading enterprise-level strategic planning processes
  • Ability to travel 25–50% to ODL global sites in the US, Canada, Mexico, UK, and China
