About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Facilitate group, family, and individual therapy sessions for clients in a virtual Intensive Outpatient mental health program
  • Assess clients' therapeutic needs and develop appropriate treatment plans
  • Complete psychosocial evaluations, treatment plans, contact logs, discharge plans, and other required reports
  • Complete documentation within prescribed formats and timelines
  • Facilitate specialized groups and supervise or co-lead groups with clinical interns when appropriate
  • Select appropriate interventions for individual client needs
  • Maintain therapeutic relationships with clients using praise and other reinforcers
  • Conduct verbal crisis intervention and de-escalation in a virtual environment
  • Follow established protocols for client safety and emergency response
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team to coordinate care from admission through discharge
  • Attend clinical, consultation, and operations meetings
  • Serve as a clinical advocate for assigned cases
  • Communicate client progress with referral sources, families, parents, and guardians as appropriate
  • Maintain relationships with clients, families, clinical providers, referral partners, and vendors
  • Complete required training and other assigned duties
  • Provide evidence-informed, culturally competent, client-centered behavioral health care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master's degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, counseling or psychology
  • Must hold an LCSW, LPCC, LMFT and/or PhD, PsyD, in good standing, within the state of California
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with clients with a primary mental health diagnosis
  • Willingness to obtain Colorado clinical licensure
  • Criminal background check clearance and any other mandatory state/federal requirements
  • Willingness to obtain licensure in additional states, as needed
  • Ability to communicate effectively with peers, clients, families, and external partners
  • Ability to sit or remain stationary for extended periods
  • Ability to speak and hear
  • Ability to lift up to 15 lbs
  • Competency in current theory and evidence-based practice
  • Cultural competence and ability to provide client-centered care
  • Experience with psychosocial, pain, domestic violence, substance use, self-harm, and distress assessments
  • Competency delivering individual, family, and group behavioral health services through virtual platforms
  • Ability to maintain client engagement, therapeutic presence, privacy, and professional boundaries in a virtual environment
