About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as the dedicated People Partner to 1 or 2 Ofcom Groups
  • Partner with Group Directors and Directors to align people priorities with organisational strategy
  • Collaborate with the wider People, Culture & Workplace team to deliver cohesive people strategies, tools, and frameworks
  • Lead end-to-end organisation design
  • Lead creation and delivery of People Plans across client areas
  • Identify organisational barriers, people implications, and opportunities for improvement
  • Coach Group Directors and management teams on leadership style and impact
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and prioritise work against People Plan priorities
  • Advise on and implement strategies to minimise or remove barriers to effective operations
  • Collaborate with People, Culture & Workplace Centres of Excellence on people strategies and frameworks
  • Execute strategic workforce planning, talent management, pay review, succession planning, performance management, colleague engagement, and action planning processes
  • Provide oversight of risks and mitigations to the Head of Business Partnering/People & Culture Director for SMT-level attention
  • Lead or collaborate on complex organisational design and change projects

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience partnering at Senior Executive level on people initiatives across the colleague lifecycle
  • Proven track record of creating, shaping, and executing People Plans
  • High levels of commercial and business acumen, including using data to influence decisions
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to build, strengthen, and influence relationships at all levels of the organisation
  • Ability to challenge decisions where necessary
  • Ability to coach and influence Directors on people issues and the wider people agenda
  • Experience working collaboratively with Centres of Excellence (CoEs)
  • Ability to hold contracting conversations on ways of working
  • Proactive issue resolution and barrier removal
  • Proven experience supporting business readiness
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and provide feedback and challenge on leadership style and impact
  • Confidence in horizon scanning and analysing the bigger picture
  • Ability to identify issues and propose and implement course-correction plans
  • Ability to articulate the broader impact of decisions and provide visibility to others
  • Highly developed communication and influencing skills
  • Confidence, gravitas, and ability to adapt influencing style
  • Ability to work in the United Kingdom
