About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assess clinical training needs of the organization, department, and end user
  • Analyze and evaluate existing or proposed clinical systems, workflows, and processes
  • Collaborate to define future-state clinical workflows
  • Deliver training for new hires, refresher training, skill enhancement, and system updates
  • Manage moderately complex clinical application training issues and problems
  • Provide technical support for user issues and questions related to training, functionality, operations, input/output, reporting, and procedures
  • Implement training and communications
  • Coordinate system change communications and keep end users informed about system changes and updates
  • Assist in developing change management strategies and training needs
  • Recommend creative process and procedure solutions for clinical system enhancements, additions, or modifications
  • Advise build teams on system enhancements or modifications
  • Participate in training and optimization projects
  • Develop and maintain specialty-area super-user networks
  • Serve as a liaison between training and IT to coordinate needs assessments, impact analyses, resource utilization, system requirements, and integration methodologies
  • Perform other duties or special projects as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate degree in a clinical field, information systems or related field, or equivalent education and experience
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience with an electronic medical record or system
  • Must obtain an Epic build certification within 6 months of the date of hire if not already certified
  • Bachelor of Science in a clinical field, information systems or related field, or equivalent education and experience preferred
  • Current Epic build certification preferred
  • Strong communication skills to respond to common and complex inquiries
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and completion of projects
  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently while being a team player
  • Extensive knowledge of adult learning principles
  • Demonstrated experience using adult learning principles when building training plans and materials
  • Critical thinking to work at the highest technical level of most phases of application education
  • Ability to consider current and future state implications
