About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist management with the day-to-day operations of the clinic as they relate to medical support and patient care
- Demonstrate clinical skills and expertise with relevant systems and processes
- Model, train, and promote high-functioning clinical support staff
- Lead the day-to-day work and productivity of patient care staff
- Advise and assist staff with patient/customer concerns and clinic operation issues
- Perform routine specialized medical procedures according to established clinical protocols
- Serve as a clinical preceptor to enhance training and address skill deficiencies
- Assist management with scheduling, daily work assignments, hiring, training, employee engagement, performance management, operational improvement, and reinforcing expectations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Meets all Medical Assistant KSA’s
- Certification AND 2 years of tenure with OSUP, with one year being in a Senior role (internal candidates)
- 2 years of tenure with OSUP, with one year being in a Senior role AND a minimum of 7 years prior Medical Assistant experience (internal candidates)
- 2 years Certification or 7 years of Medical Assistant overall experience (external candidates)
- Prior experience working in a preceptor designation preferred
- Current BLS Certification preferred
- Experience with EMR preferred
- Medical Assistant Certification preferred
