About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide skilled nursing services to patients under the direction of a physician or midlevel provider
  • Execute patient nursing care plans, including sterile dressings, soaks, compresses, enemas, suppositories, oxygen therapy, catheterization, diabetic care, and pre- and post-operative care
  • Provide patient care within the LPN scope of practice, including rooming patients, obtaining and documenting vital signs, administering medications and IV fluids, performing treatments, and collecting specimens
  • Prepare patients and exam rooms
  • Assist providers with examinations, procedures, testing, and real-time documentation
  • Monitor patient conditions and recognize and report changes or adverse reactions
  • Educate patients within scope and coordinate laboratory specimens, results, and follow-up care
  • Sterilize equipment and manage supplies and inventory
  • Support scheduling and clerical tasks
  • Adhere to safety, infection control, and compliance standards
  • Complete ongoing skills training, system usage, assigned duties, and special projects

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Graduate of a school of Practical Nursing
  • Current Practical Nursing License in the state of Ohio
  • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards
  • Knowledge of appropriate procedures and standards for the administration of medications and patient care aids
  • Compassionate, team players who are focused on providing the best care possible for their patients
  • Ability to travel as needed
