About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide skilled nursing services to patients under the direction of a physician or midlevel provider
- Execute nursing care plans, including sterile dressings, soaks, compresses, enemas, suppositories, oxygen therapy, catheterization, diabetic care, and pre- and post-operative care
- Provide patient care within the LPN scope of practice, including rooming patients, obtaining and documenting vital signs, administering medications and IV fluids, performing treatments, and collecting specimens
- Prepare patients and exam rooms; assist providers with examinations, procedures, testing, and real-time documentation
- Monitor patient conditions, recognize and report changes or adverse reactions, educate patients within scope, and coordinate laboratory specimens, results, and follow-up care
- Sterilize equipment, manage supplies and inventory, support scheduling and clerical tasks, and adhere to safety, infection control, and compliance standards
- Maintain professionalism through punctuality, teamwork, communication with supervisors, ongoing skills training, system usage, travel as needed, and completion of assigned duties or special projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate of a school of Practical Nursing
- Current Practical Nursing License in the state of Ohio
- Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards
- Knowledge of appropriate procedures and standards for the administration of medications and patient care aids
- Compassionate, team-oriented approach focused on providing excellent patient care
