Key responsibilities & impact

Provide skilled nursing services to patients under the direction of a physician or midlevel provider
Execute patients’ nursing care plans, including sterile dressings, soaks, compresses, enemas, suppositories, oxygen therapy, catheterization, diabetic care, and pre- and post-operative care
Provide patient care within the LPN scope of practice, including rooming patients, obtaining and documenting vital signs, administering medications and IV fluids, performing treatments, and collecting specimens
Prepare patients and exam rooms
Assist providers with examinations, procedures, testing, and real-time documentation
Monitor patient conditions and report changes or adverse reactions
Educate patients within scope and coordinate laboratory specimens, results, and follow-up care
Sterilize equipment and manage supplies and inventory
Support scheduling and clerical tasks
Adhere to safety, infection control, and compliance standards
Complete ongoing skills training, assigned duties, and special projects; travel as needed

What you’ll need

Graduate of a school of Practical Nursing
Current Practical Nursing License in the state of Ohio
Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards
Knowledge of appropriate procedures and standards for the administration of medications and patient care aids
Compassionate, team players focused on providing the best care possible for patients
