About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide skilled nursing services to patients under the direction of a physician or midlevel provider
- Provide related services to maintain a safe, therapeutic environment
- Collect patient health data and analyze it to determine diagnoses
- Identify expected outcomes individualized to each patient
- Develop plans of care prescribing interventions to attain expected outcomes
- Implement interventions identified in plans of care
- Evaluate patient progress toward attaining outcomes
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team
- Perform professional nursing care as outlined by physicians and organizational objectives and policies
- Provide patient and family health education and health assessment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate Degree in Nursing from a CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited nursing program
- Current Ohio Registered Nurse license
- CPR/BLS certified
- Knowledge of triage procedures
- Clinic, physician office and/or urgent care experience
- Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards
- Knowledge of appropriate procedures and standards for the administration of medications and patient care aids
- Ability to educate and clearly communicate with patients and/or families about disease and proper care and treatment
- Ability to convey information both in writing and verbally
- High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations
- Demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy
- Analytical ability and critical thinking to gather and interpret data and develop, recommend, and implement solutions
