About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support foundational tasks ensuring scalability, availability, and efficiency of cloud and distributed systems
- Collaborate with Senior SREs to diagnose, resolve, and prevent production incidents
- Automate operational tasks and manage configurations using scripting and Infrastructure as Code tools
- Assist with monitoring and maintaining service health using observability platforms and dashboards
- Participate in incremental task delivery, estimating complexity, managing dependencies, and handling ambiguous requirements with guidance
- Participate in an on-call rotation and contribute to blameless postmortems
- Continuously learn and progressively take ownership of tasks and impact
- Support the development and maintenance of core infrastructure and engineering practices
- Contribute to reliable and scalable platforms
Requirements
What you’ll need- Motivated learner with a growth mindset, eager to develop SRE skills
- Foundational experience in at least one programming language, such as Python or Go
- Basic understanding of cloud environments, preferably AWS
- Basic understanding of distributed systems concepts
- Familiarity with containers and orchestration tools, such as Kubernetes, is a plus
- Interest in Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform
- Exposure to CI/CD tools, such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to manage tasks reliably, communicate effectively, and maintain clear documentation
- Enthusiasm for reliability engineering principles, including incident management, monitoring, and service level management
