About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Implement and take ownership of Omnea’s Security roadmap
  • Lead security implementations and experiments with the Platform Lead
  • Own, onboard and evolve security tooling, including safe-chain plugins and SAST/DAST tooling
  • Deliver additional compliance certification programs
  • Collaborate with DevX streams to enable fast and secure software delivery
  • Implement scalable code-security hardening patterns across the codebase
  • Evolve cloud-native infrastructure to address emerging security threats
  • Support compliance goals and successfully handle audits
  • Own problems end-to-end from brainstorming through production
  • Partner with product engineers and engineering leadership
  • Coach teammates and share security and infrastructure knowledge

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Typically 5+ years of platform engineering experience in high-growth, cloud-native SaaS environments
  • T-shaped skillset with depth in Cloud Security
  • Product engineering background with a strong interest in security
  • Experience designing reliable infrastructure and writing clean production code in TypeScript or similar
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and security gates at scale
  • Deep knowledge of AWS, including Lambda, DynamoDB, EventBridge, IAM and networking, or equivalent cloud-native experience
  • Understanding of serverless architecture and its trade-offs
  • Ability to automate toil, improve feedback loops and enable productivity
  • Commercial understanding of infrastructure and security trade-offs
  • Bias for action and pragmatic delivery
  • Ability to coach teammates and share knowledge
  • Experience with Pulumi or similar IaC frameworks is desirable
  • ISC2 certification is desirable
  • Experience running SaaS compliance programs such as ISO 27001 or SOC 2 Type II is desirable
  • Open-source contributions to security, infrastructure or developer tooling projects are desirable
  • Ability to work in person Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at the London office
  • Permanent employment; contractor positions are not available
