About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the Social function for a book of clients and assist in leading the function for the region
  • Develop overall paid media strategy and grow clients’ businesses through additional Social channels
  • Ensure team execution meets and exceeds client expectations
  • Manage and lead Social team members on client teams
  • Determine efficient use of Social resources and succession-plan for resources
  • Identify training and development needs and build training materials
  • Develop processes, methodologies, best practices, and frameworks
  • Consult with client teams on best practices and new approaches
  • Lead hiring for Social team members
  • Oversee onboarding of new clients within the office location
  • Ensure integration with other functional teams
  • Serve as primary account contact with the Center of Excellence for agency-wide social knowledge sharing
  • Increase and expand paid media services for clients
  • Identify and test new channels and products
  • Align Social strategy with clients’ business goals and merchandise impact
  • Support business development pitches with oversight and guidance
  • Lead practice, product, and service development initiatives
  • Identify and develop new processes, strategies, and frameworks
  • Oversee alpha/beta testing, analyze results, and share learnings
  • Lead POV development for new products and enhancements
  • Identify and evaluate new channels, products, and technology providers
  • Manage development and testing of products and services
  • Act as main point of contact and escalation point for technology partners and social networks
  • Keep client teams informed about provider updates, products, and engine enhancements
  • Coordinate provider presentations, QBRs, and related certifications
  • Partner with social, strategy/planning, Search, Programmatic Video/Display, media, and marketing sciences teams
  • Report into the Client Business Lead

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant post-secondary education, training, or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of business experience
  • 5+ years building and/or managing accounts in the social marketing and/or interactive advertising space
  • Proactive self-starter
  • General knowledge of direct and brand marketing principles and strategies
  • Deep understanding of the interactive marketing landscape
  • Polished presentation, communication, and analytical skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Online media sales and/or interactive ad agency experience
  • Knowledge of distinguishing features from benefits and selling and delivering value
