About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative market research exclusively for the pharmaceutical space
  • Generate sales and repeat business through client relationships and referrals
  • Understand client strategy and provide strategic consultation
  • Design and implement qualitative research studies across the drug life cycle
  • Moderate telephone and in-person in-depth interviews and focus groups
  • Develop insightful, business-focused reports and presentations
  • Mentor junior and senior staff in qualitative market research and pharmaceutical industry knowledge
  • Develop new business and nurture existing client relationships
  • Contribute to the company’s strategic direction through senior leadership meetings
  • Develop new research techniques and methods to generate insights and improve process efficiencies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8–12+ years of experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical/healthcare space
  • Ability to generate sales and repeat business by fostering strong client relationships and seeking referrals
  • Ability to consult strategically and deliver solid, insightful reports and presentations
  • Significant qualitative market research experience, including moderation
  • Ability to mentor junior and senior staff in qualitative market research and pharmaceutical industry knowledge
  • Expertise in moderating telephone/in-person in-depth interviews and focus groups
  • Experience designing and implementing qualitative research studies at all stages of the drug life cycle for pharmaceutical/biotech industries
  • Deep understanding of market research needs for pharmaceutical and biotech products across Phase 2 through Phase 4 clinical trials, pre-launch promotional development, and in-line/mature products
  • Expertise in elevating qualitative study results into business-focused, strategic, and insightful outputs
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Experience as a collaborative leader of senior and junior team members
  • Experience building and expanding new business relationships and nurturing current pharmaceutical/biotech client relationships
  • Ability to meet specific sales goals
  • Experience in vendor/supplier market research, preferably in pharmaceutical research
  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree; advanced education preferred
