About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Administer day-to-day Human Resources functions and processes
  • Initiate and manage the new hire process from start to finish
  • Generate and submit IT tickets for new-hire setup
  • Conduct weekly new-hire orientations and manage first-day correspondence
  • Create and maintain employee files and HR team calendar entries in Microsoft Outlook
  • Process employee data changes in Workday, including pay changes, referrals, and internal transfers
  • Collaborate with infrastructure teams on employee changes, notifications, calendar invitations, and system updates
  • Coordinate termination processes with internal teams and systems
  • Support diversity, training, talent development, and engagement initiatives
  • Hold weekly office hours to assist employees with questions and inquiries
  • Support space management, remote-work initiatives, and facilities
  • Support career fairs and the annual summer internship program
  • Help coordinate agency events, charity initiatives, community meetings, and other special projects

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree required (or relevant experience)
  • 0-1 year of Human Resources or Administrative experience
  • High proficiency with Adobe Acrobat Pro and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams
  • Experience with an applicant tracking system such as Workday, a plus
  • Knowledge of media, marketing, advertising or communications industries, preferred
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, prioritization, time-management, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Ability to collaborate, adapt, take initiative, formulate solutions, and demonstrate critical thinking
  • Ability to participate clearly in internal and client-facing meetings
