About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead commerce media strategy for a large, enterprise-scale client
  • Represent Flywheel within the client’s integrated agency team
  • Connect upper-funnel media, brand strategy and lower-funnel commerce performance
  • Translate brand, portfolio and business priorities into integrated media and commerce strategies
  • Build relationships across media, creative, strategy, analytics, commerce and agency partners
  • Lead strategies for innovation launches, category growth initiatives, seasonal moments, tentpole events and peak retail periods
  • Develop media architectures across Amazon, Walmart, Target, Kroger, Instacart and other platforms
  • Connect retail media, paid search, shopping, programmatic and performance-based tactics into full-funnel plans
  • Define planning principles, KPIs and measurement approaches
  • Monitor brand, category, retail and media performance and provide strategic recommendations
  • Establish measurement frameworks connecting commerce media activity to business outcomes
  • Lead, mentor and develop commerce media planners and account team members
  • Own the strategic health and quality of Flywheel’s work for the assigned enterprise client
  • Support account planning, forecasting, resourcing and profitability management
  • Oversee multiple workstreams and manage client, agency, operational and delivery risks
  • Contribute to thought leadership, industry engagement and new business opportunities
  • Travel based on client and business needs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years of experience in commerce media, retail media, integrated media planning, strategy or a related discipline
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale clients and managing complex, high-visibility client relationships
  • Experience working within an integrated agency model and influencing across partner agencies, disciplines and senior stakeholder groups
  • Deep familiarity with the retail media ecosystem, including Amazon, Walmart, Target, Kroger and Instacart
  • Understanding of connecting upper-funnel brand strategy with lower-funnel commerce activation and performance
  • Experience planning around brand and portfolio priorities, innovation launches, seasonal moments and major business events
  • Understanding of strategies across the full consumer journey, from awareness and consideration through conversion and loyalty
  • Comfort using market share, lifetime value, incrementality and share of search metrics
  • Confident executive communication with senior clients, agency partners and internal leadership
  • Ability to influence without direct authority and create alignment across complex stakeholder groups
  • People leadership, talent development and mentoring experience
  • Commercial mindset with experience identifying growth opportunities and contributing to account health and profitability
  • Comfort working with data, insights and measurement while maintaining a strategic perspective
