About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Liaise with clients and assist with day-to-day communications and account management
  • Organize client meetings and develop timelines, activity reports, and other client documentation
  • Support strategic initiatives and assist with integrated campaign development and execution
  • Manage and execute media relations deliverables, including media lists, pitches, press releases, reporting, and content creation
  • Conduct research and contribute creative ideas to media activations, planning meetings, and team brainstorms
  • Build knowledge of clients’ businesses, competitive landscapes, and industry trends
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to execute programs supporting client business objectives
  • Monitor, analyze, and develop client coverage reports using industry measurement and listening tools
  • Contribute to junior team members’ work plans and help guide their work
  • Produce high-quality work and update managers on activity progress
  • Contribute to an inclusive team culture and support integration

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BA or BS in Journalism, Business, Communications, or a related field
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in communications, events or media relations roles
  • Experience supporting communications programs in an agency or in-house setting
  • Obsession with culture and understanding of what drives culture
  • Passion for tapping into pop culture to reach broad and diverse audiences
  • Strong writing skills and ability to craft compelling narratives for various audiences
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
  • Strong project coordination skills and ability to drive projects from start to finish
  • Solid media relations skills, including media monitoring, building media lists, and pitching
  • Critical thinking and confident communication skills
  • Solutions-oriented approach and ability to connect different workstreams
