About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own two end-to-end design systems—institutional and consumer—including components, design tokens, theming, patterns, and Figma libraries across web and mobile
  • Support the marketing team’s design system as needed to maintain brand consistency and smooth design-to-code workflows
  • Define the visual language, motion principles, and interaction details for both systems
  • Design and ship system primitives, atoms, molecules, organisms, and page templates with polished interaction details and rigorous visual hierarchy, typography, and layout
  • Partner closely with UI engineers to map tokens and components to the production component library and keep Figma and code synchronized
  • Define mobile system behavior, including platform-appropriate interactions, responsive/adaptive behavior, and web/native parity rules
  • Ensure components meet WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards, including contrast, focus, keyboard behavior, motion, and screen-reader semantics
  • Create documentation, usage guidelines, do/don’t examples, and contribution guides for designers, engineers, and AI agents
  • Run cross-team governance covering contributions, reviews, versioning, deprecation, adoption tracking, and system-change forums
  • Proactively audit products for gaps, inconsistencies, and system drift, then prioritize and drive fixes
  • Use AI tooling, agents, markdown guideline files, and MCP integrations in daily design-system work
  • Drive adoption and measurable coverage of both systems across institutional and consumer web and mobile products
  • Maintain parity between Figma libraries and front-end component libraries
  • Help product teams ship faster with fewer one-off components and shorter design-to-build cycles

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 6+ years in product design, including 3+ years focused on design systems

  • Strong UI craft: visual hierarchy, typography, layout, polished interaction details, motion, and visual expression
  • Experience building scalable components and design tokens, including theming
  • Strong understanding of how components and tokens translate into front-end libraries, such as React, React Native, or Swift/Kotlin component libraries
  • Advanced Figma skills: variables and modes, auto layout, component properties, and library management at scale
  • Track record of working closely with engineers as a day-to-day partner
  • Strong accessibility knowledge and experience shipping WCAG AA compliant components
  • Experience writing clear documentation and running governance across teams, including contribution models, review processes, and adoption
  • Fluency with AI tooling in a design or engineering workflow, including agents, markdown guideline files, and MCP integrations
  • Experience with design-to-code tooling such as Code Connect, token pipelines, or Storybook
  • Systems thinking and sharp attention to detail
  • Portfolio showcasing design systems work, including components, tokens, documentation, and design reasoning
  • Experience with crypto, onchain, tokenized-asset, fintech, exchange, or trading-platform products is nice to have
