About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Join One Community Health's medical support team as a rooming medical assistant
  • Provide patient care support, including taking vitals, administering injections, performing procedures, and stocking supplies
  • Complete onsite training for medical assistant skills
  • After six months of employment, become eligible to apply for the Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program
  • Complete 2,000 hours of hands-on, on-the-job training and virtual online schooling in the one-year apprenticeship program
  • Attend three off-site clinical days to broaden clinical experience
  • Complete and pass the national certification exam to earn Nationally Certified Medical Assistant credentials

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Entry-level position; no previous experience needed
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Customer service experience is a plus
  • Primarily located at the clinic in White Salmon, Washington
  • Preferred: Bilingual in English and Spanish
