About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Conduct virtual visits for acute, chronic, preventive, and mental health care
Establish strong patient relationships to drive continuity of care
Collaborate with virtual care teams, health coaches, behavioral health specialists, and consulting physicians
Participate in weekly Clinical Rounds and continuous learning
Supervise one or more NP or PA colleagues as part of a virtual care team
Contribute to virtual panel-building workflows and best practices
Build and maintain a sustainable patient panel and achieve schedule utilization benchmarks
Provide periodic in-person care at the home market location, typically one week per quarter, including wellness visits
Serve as a foundational contributor to expanding One Medical’s virtual primary care footprint

Requirements

What you’ll need

Enrolled in, or have completed, an accredited Internal or Family Medicine residency program
Practiced at least 2 of the last 5 years in an outpatient primary care setting
Board Certified in Internal or Family Medicine, or Board Eligible with plans to obtain board certification within 1 year of starting at One Medical
Active Washington state medical license
Willingness to obtain additional state licensure and credentialing for One Medical virtual primary care, Virtual Medical Team supervision, and remote care in other MSAs
Experience or strong interest in telehealth and virtual care delivery
Demonstrated ability to build and sustain patient relationships in a virtual setting
Passion for human-centered primary care
Ability to communicate with and provide care to individuals of all backgrounds
Ability to effectively use technology to deliver high quality care
Clinical proficiency in evidence-based primary care
Openness to feedback and reflection
Ability to navigate uncertain situations with patients and colleagues
Readiness to adapt personal and interpersonal behavior to patient needs
Full-time availability with a minimum of 32 clinical hours per week
Availability for schedules between 7:00 AM and 9:00 PM local time, any day of the week
Availability for evening and weekend coverage, with a minimum of 8 hours per month
Authorization to work in the U.S. is required
