About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop, test and maintain software across Cloud Applications platforms
  • Deliver new functionality, enhancements and defect resolutions to agreed standards
  • Own software changes from requirements and design through to deployment and production
  • Ensure code is secure, maintainable and reliable through testing, peer review, logging and documentation
  • Investigate and resolve application defects and production issues, including root cause analysis
  • Collaborate with Developers, DevOps Engineers, QA, technical leads and stakeholders to deliver effective technical solutions
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of development practices, automation and CI/CD
  • Use AI, automation and modern development tools to improve productivity, software quality, testing and delivery outcomes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong understanding and experience in software development and modern development practices
  • Experience in software languages including Go, Python and SQL
  • Experience developing software in cloud environments, including APIs and system integrations
  • Understanding of automated testing, source control and CI/CD practices
  • Understanding of secure software development and software quality principles
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong ownership, communication and collaboration skills across technical and business stakeholders
  • Practical understanding of AI-assisted tools for code generation, analysis, monitoring or reporting
  • Ability to use AI to improve productivity, data validation and operational efficiency
  • Ability to identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and enhance workflows
