About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and size pricing and credit strategies, building clear options and sensitivity bands before launch
- Ground recommendations in projected and realized economics
- Continuously monitor portfolio performance, including vintage and cohort trends, roll rates, loss and delinquency trends, and renewal performance
- Measure the impact of strategy changes after launch through meaningful tests or comparisons
- Identify and size automation and growth opportunities and partner with Pricing and Engineering to deploy them
- Monitor portfolio composition and detect meaningful mix shifts
- Partner with Data Science on model development and validation
- Build documented, version-controlled, rerunnable analyses
- Present clear recommendations, defensible numbers, and uncertainties to executives including the CEO
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5 to 8 years in credit analytics, pricing analytics, portfolio strategy, or risk strategy, preferably in Lending, Fintech, Specialty Finance, or Financial Services
- Bachelor's or master's degree in a quantitative field (economics, statistics, mathematics, finance, computer science, or similar)
- Strong SQL and strong Python with pandas
- Ability to pull large, messy, multi-source data and perform analysis in Python
- Genuine unit-economics fluency on a loan or advance book
- Portfolio analytics depth: vintage and cohort analysis, roll rates, loss curves and forecasting, and maturity-adjusted views
- Ability to separate description from causation, check base rates and sample sizes, and identify outliers affecting dollar-weighted metrics
- Experience influencing a real P&L decision resulting in a policy or price change
- Excellent business judgment and ability to distill complex analysis for executive audiences
- Experience with merchant cash advance, revenue-based finance, small-business lending, or another short-duration product
- Experience with credit scorecards, decision engines, or pricing systems is a strong plus
- Experience with dbt, AWS/cloud data environments, and modern AI tooling (LLMs, agents) is a plus
